2000 Porsche Boxster Given Away by The Grand Victoria Casino

The Grand Victoria invited six winners of the March cash giveaway to the casino for a chance to win the two-seater, bright red Porsche with black leather interior. Each winner drew a numbered slip from the drawing drum to determine the order that they would draw for keys to the car. After drawing the keys, each contestant tried his or her key. Ms. Luna, contestant number five, successfully started the car and drove it home.

"I can't believe this. I'm shaking, I'm red and nervous," said Luna as the large crowd applauded and congratulated her. "I just can't believe it!"

A total of sixteen patrons were winners of $3,500 each during the March giveaway. Those winners that were present when their name was drawn were invited to come back and try for the Porsche. The remaining five contestants for the Porsche included Islawa Derain of Glendale Heights; Donna Hayes of Carol Stream; Fatwa O. Trakh of Carpentersville; Amelia Papasin of Crystal Lake; and Domingo Castillo of Bloomingdale.

Located in Elgin along the scenic Fox River, the Grand Victoria Casino is considered Illinois' premier riverboat casino, averaging more than 10,000 gamers each day.

Casino Player Magazine, the industry's leading publication, named Grand Victoria "the Best Riverboat Casino in the United States" two years in a row for 1998 and 1999.
