12-Mile Limit Stops NY Boat

New York City's first cruising gambling boat has ceased operations because of a federal ruling that it had to operate more than 12 miles offshore. The boat had started to operate within 3 miles of shore, but the additional distance cut its cruises from three trips a day to two, and the company halted operations for winter, but said they would resume in spring regardless of the limit and continue their legal challenge to have the 12-mile limit overturned.
