$35 Megabucks Investment Nets $5.4 Million

13 November 2002

GREEN BAY, Wisconsin -- As reported by Green Bay Gazette: ``As news broke last week that a winning Megabucks lottery ticket had been sold at the west-side Green Bay Festival Foods store, Jake Satterlee's family had a feeling. It had to be him.

``Satterlee, 66, of Green Bay, takes being a regular customer at the grocery store to an extreme. He's usually there once a day — sometimes twice. A cup of coffee one day, a bag of dog food another.

``...Just after 2 p.m. last Wednesday, Satterlee was making one of his regular trips to the store and bought $35 worth of lottery tickets — 70 plays — with numbers he picked himself. He was going to play a different string of numbers, but in the end, opted for 6, 17, 18, 19, 20 and 25.

``...Paid out at one time, the ticket is worth $1.9 million after taxes. Paid out over 25 years, it nets $3.5 million.

``Satterlee, a father of eight, said he already bought a new vehicle — a new Cadillac Escalade. He plans to 'have a good time' with the rest of his winnings..."
