Gaming NewsWorld Poker Champs Help Out Charity3 May 2005TORONTO – (PRESS RELEASE) -- Silverstar Entertainment in association with The Canadian Charities Association, presents a charity fundraising event featuring world poker tour champions, Daniel Negreanu & Erick Lindgren, at the International Poker Tour's inaugural Texas Hold'em Charity Poker Tournament. The action takes place 6 p.m., Thursday, May 5, at the Westwood Banquet Hall, 90 Downs Road in Brampton. World Champion & Torontonian, Daniel Negreanu, is flying in to attend this tournament specifically to help raise funds for the Cabbagetown Youth Centre (CYC) as well as the family of Livette Moore, whose four children were left orphaned last week when their mother became the innocent victim of a fatal shooting in North York. "This charity event will mark the auspicious beginnings of how International Poker Tours in collaboration with charitable organizations can help make this world a better place for those less fortunate", says Mr. Negreanu. Event organizers are also pleased to announce that the top 10 players of Thursday's Texas Hold'em Poker Tournament will be entered into a raffle for a 4-night trip to Las Vegas and private dinner with Daniel Negreanu.
