Gaming NewsWorker killed inside Taj Mahal casino28 May 2009ATLANTIC CITY, New Jersey -- As reported by The Press of Atlantic City: "A shift manager at the Trump Taj Mahal was shot to death Wednesday afternoon, and a suspect has been arrested, officials said. "Ray Kot, of Egg Harbor Township, was shot at about 3:30 p.m. inside a small room near the Casino Control Commission booth on the casino floor, State Police spokesman Sgt. Julian Castellanos said. "Mark McGee, 57, of Norristown, Pa., was charged with murder and weapons charges this morning. He was being held in the Atlantic County Justice Facility on $1 million cash bail. "McGee — a regular customer at the casino — and Kot knew each other, Castellanos said. The attack was apparently planned. "'He put it on his Twitter last night,' Castellanos said. "Twitter is a social messaging service that allows people to update what they're doing in short messages called tweets. State Police would not comment on what McGee posted or when..." copyrighted material written for and appeared exclusively in The Press of Atlantic City |
