Women cashes in on $8.8 million bookmark

ALBERTA -- As reported by the CBC New: "A pipeline worker from Hinton, Alta., got more than a thrill from her mystery novel when she found the lotto ticket she was using as a bookmark won her nearly $9 million.

"Tanya Delorme, 29, bought $10 worth of Lotto 6/49 quick pick tickets on her way to work on a pipeline near Red Earth Creek, more than 400 kilometres north of Edmonton.

"...She put the ticket inside the thriller she was reading and forgot about it until the following week. Her handy bookmark matched all six numbers in the Sept. 15 draw and netted her $8,800,833..."
