MIDDLETOWN, Pennsylvania – (PRESS RELEASE) -- Pennsylvania Lottery officials today presented Jeanette Annibella, 50, of Tionesta, Forest County, with the first of a lifetime of checks. Annibella is the latest winner of the top prize in the Lottery's $2 instant ticket game, Win $1,000 A Week For Life.
Lottery's Erie Area Supervisor Rick Langianese and District Lottery Representative Bob Pezzuti presented Annibella with her check at Haller's Sporting Goods on Elm Street in Tionesta, where she purchased her Win For Life ticket. Haller's owner Menahem Thalkar received a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning top prize ticket.
Win For Life top prizes are paid in annual installments of $52,000, less 25 percent federal withholding. Annibella is the 80th winner of $1,000 a week for life since the game debuted in July 1995. The day after she filed her claim at Lottery headquarters, James M. Pettner of Freedom, Beaver County, became the 81st winner of $1,000 a week for life.
As of Oct. 16, there were two top prizes remaining in the current Win $1,000 A Week For Life instant ticket game. The odds of winning the top prize are 1-in-4.8 million.
How to play Win $1,000 A Week For Life: Each Win For Life ticket features three separate games and a "FAST CASH BONUS" box. In GAME 1, three like prize amounts win that prize. Three "LIFE" symbols win $1,000 a week for life. In GAME 2, three "Keystone" symbols in a row (across), column (up and down) or diagonal win the prize shown. When the prize shown is "LIFE," the prize won is $1,000 a week for life. Win the prize shown under the matching number when any of YOUR NUMBERS match either LUCKY NUMBER in GAME 3. When the prize shown under the matching number is "LIFE," the prize is $1,000 a week for life. A prize amount between $4 and $50 in the "FAST CASH BONUS" box wins that prize automatically. There are nine chances to win on each ticket.
