Win $30,000 Platinum Pass to PSPC

8 November 2018

(PRESS RELEASE) -- From 6-9 December 2018, the Mid-States Poker Tour (MSPT) will host its $1,100 buy-in, $500,000 GTD Season Finale at Canterbury Park - Racetrack & Card Casino in Shakopee, Minnesota, and we’re excited to announce players who attend will have the opportunity to win a sought-after $30,000 Platinum Pass to the PokerStars Players NL Hold’Em Championship (PSPC).

The PSPC takes place 6-10 January 2019 at the Atlantis at Paradise Island Resort and Casino in Bahamas and is shaping up to be the largest $25,000 buy-in event in history with $1 million to be added to first place and an additional $8 million added to the prize pool through Platinum Pass giveaways. More than 300 players will win their way into the rake-free event for free via Platinum Pass giveaways including one lucky player from the MSPT.

“We’re very excited that PokerStars is offering MSPT poker players the opportunity to win a Platinum Pass into their $25K event, which is sure to be one of the poker’s most historic and unique events,” said MSPT President Bryan Mileski. “Plus, it’s not going to be hard to get a Midwest player to go down to the Bahamas in the dead of January.”

To be eligible to win the Platinum Pass, participants must register for the MSPT Season Finale event. Each day they register, players will receive one entry to the draw from which eight finalists will be picked to participate in the HEADS-UP Flip-Out Tournament. This tournament will consist of four matches comprised of just one hand each match. Finalists will play down to just one winner who will receive the Platinum Pass.

The $30,000 Platinum Pass includes $25,000 buy-in to the PSPC, six nights’ accommodation at the Atlantis Resort in Nassau, room folio and travel expenses.
