Wild Rose Entertaiment Eyes Mississippi Belle II

IOWA – As reported by the Quad-City Times: "Des Moines-based entertainment company plans to buy the Mississippi Belle II casino and expand the operations with a land-based casino at a new location in Clinton, company representatives said Tuesday.

"Wild Rose Entertainment LLC, which also will open a new casino and hotel in May in Emmetsburg, filed its application to buy the Mississippi Belle II from the casino's employees ownership group with the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission late Tuesday afternoon, Wild Rose spokeswoman Jamie Buelt said.

"The sale must be approved by the gaming commission and the employees who are participants in the casino's Employee Stock Ownership Plan.

"The sale is expected to be completed May 1, and Wild Rose intends to continue to operate the casino under the Mississippi Belle II name in the short term, retaining the same employees and using the same cruising schedule, she said…"
