Weather Hurts Kansas City Casinos

KANSAS CITY, Missouri – As reported by the Kansas City Business Journal: "Icy weather cooled customer counts at the four area casinos in January and chilled revenue at all but Ameristar Casino & Hotel Kansas City.

"Ameristar led the area casinos in revenue for the 16th-consecutive month, with $20.4 million in January, up 9 percent from $18.7 million a year earlier, the Missouri Gaming Commission said Thursday.

"The Kansas City market as a whole had revenue of $55.7 million in January, up less than 1 percent from $55.5 million last year…"
