WAR the Band at Tropicana on New Year's Eve

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Tropicana Atlantic City Casino & Resort presents WAR the Band live in concert at the Tropicana Showroom on New Year’s Eve, Monday, 31 December at 9:30 p.m. Doors open at 8:30 p.m.

WAR’s long list of hits include “Low Rider,” “Why Can’t We Be Friends,” “The Cisco Kid,” “Spill The Wine” and “The World Is A Ghetto.” Additionally, their song “Slippin’ Into Darkness” appeared on the Grammy-nominated No. 1 soundtrack for Suicide Squad and WAR’s music has appeared in many other major motion pictures, as well as television and commercials. The group has 4 #1 albums, 9 Top 10 Albums, 9 Top Hits, 20 Billboard Top 40 Hits and over 50 million records sold.

With countless samples and nods by artists such as Kendrick Lamar, Flo-Rida, Tupac, Smash Mouth, Janet Jackson, Dave Matthews and Korn, WAR has not only sealed their status as a household name, but has also proven that their music and message continues to be as relevant today as they have always been.

WAR has been honored twice by its hometown of Los Angeles for making positive contributions to the betterment of the community with its powerful music and has been honored by President Obama as “All Day Music” was placed on his official playlist of the summer.
