Virtual slot machines provide clues about addiction

OTTAWA, Canada -- Canadian researchers are trying to understand what makes slot machines addictive, CBC reports.

Using virtual reality researchers put volunteers into a virtual casino and track their responses, CBC said.

The outcome of the research will inform on strategies to make "slot machines less addictive", the CBC report said.
