5 November 2008

LAC DU FLAMBEAU, Wisconsin -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- In honor of their service and sacrifice, for the second year in a row active duty military personnel and veterans can enjoy a free breakfast buffet on Veteran's Day at Lake of the Torches Resort Casino.

To receive their free breakfast buffet voucher for the Eagle's Nest Restaurant, active duty personnel and veterans who are members of the Torchlight Club can visit the club desk at the casino from 7 a.m. – 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 11, and show proof of military service (i.e. Military ID card, Veterans Affairs department card). If you are not a Torchlight Club member, signing up is quick, easy and free.

"We all at Lake of the Torches Resort Casino give our whole-hearted thanks and respect to the service veterans and active duty personnel have given to our country," said Director of Marketing Michael J. Broderick. "As a Marine Corps veteran myself, I know their sacrifices have provided us the freedoms we enjoy and we want them to feel appreciated on this very special day."

The breakfast buffet features many delicious choices that include: pastries, eggs, sausage, bacon, pancakes and biscuits and gravy. The breakfast buffet also features a full-service station where you can enjoy made to order pancakes and French toast, including our signature Wild Rice pancakes.

Situated on the shores of Pokegama Lake and nestled in Wisconsin's Northwoods, the Lake of the Torches Resort Casino has a feel of a classic Northern retreat and reflects its Ojibwe culture and heritage. The casino has over 800 slot machines (including a non-smoking area), 12 blackjack tables and three poker tables, a high-stakes Bingo Hall seating up to 500 persons, the 24-hour Game Time Grill and the Eagle's Nest Restaurant.
