Vancouver casino public hearing now scheduled for March

VANCOUVER, B.C. -- A public hearing on the proposed expansion of Edgewater Casino has been rescheduled for a second time during to a high level of public interest, The Georgia Straight reported.

Public opposition to the proposed massive expansion of the casino is rising and becoming more organized, the report explained.

The public hearing will now be held March 7, 2011 in order to accommodate the volume of speakers who have requested to be heard, The Georgia Straight report said.
