Two convicted of Singapore casino theft

SINGAPORE -- Two individuals were convicted for theft at Singapore casinos last week, The Strait Times reported.

A male carpenter pleaded guilty to stealing two $100 chips from another player during a roulette game at Marina Bay Sands, the report said.

The second case, involved a woman stealing $1750 worth of chips from two males at Resorts World Sentosa on two occasions, The Strait Times said.

The male thief received a two week jail sentence, while the woman was fined $6,000, the report said.
