Two Colorado casinos announce closures until further notice

17 March 2020

The Lodge Casino at Black Hawk and The Gilpin Casino have announced they will be temporarily closed with no reopen date announced yet. Below is the official message from the casinos' websites.

"In order to comply with Governor Polis’ Executive Order, the Lodge and Gilpin Casinos have temporarily closed.

This is a difficult time for everyone, and we are sorry we cannot provide you a fun escape over the coming days; however, the health and well-being of our guests and employees is our top priority.

We will be updating our websites and facebook pages, and you can expect another email from us when we have reliable information regarding a reopening date.

For now, if you had a reservation with us over the next 30 days, we will automatically cancel it and refund any payment you have made. This may take a few days to process, so we thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.

Please know that we are temporarily suspending all coupon mailers for the time being. As we move closer to a reopening date, we will reinstate that program as quickly as possible.

We are doing our best to ensure that our employees are taken care of during this difficult time, as they are the core of our company.

While we are closed, we will continue to make sure the buildings stay in tip-top shape and we will have our maintenance and deep-cleaning processes occurring during that time.

Our hearts go out to everyone who is impacted by these unprecedented events, and we look forward to welcoming you back in the near future. In the meantime, take care of yourselves, be kind, and stay safe."
