Twin River Worldwide starts to reopen properties

21 May 2020

Twin River Worldwide's Hard Rock Hotel & Casino - Biloxi property reopened to the public today. The operator has hopes of its other properties following suit shortly.

At all locations, space between slot machines will be increased and table games will be limited if they are present at all. Below is an announcement posted from Twin River Worldwide's President and CEO, George Papanier.

"First and foremost, I hope you and your families remain healthy during this time.

We are excited to announce we are actively working on reopening our casinos on a limited basis in all markets at some point soon. Some of our amenities may still be limited for some time, however we look forward to safely welcoming back our staff and valued guests. We hope to be able to provide you with specific details regarding our reopening in your market in the coming weeks. Our Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Biloxi property is scheduled to reopen today, May 21, 2020 and we are optimistic our other properties will follow shortly after, as soon as it is deemed safe to do so.

In addition to developing reopening plans for our seven casinos in Rhode Island, Mississippi, Colorado and Delaware, our corporate team has been actively working on new acquisitions as well, as we are working to finalize purchasing several additional casinos. Lady Luck Casino in Vicksburg, MS and Isle of Capri in Kansas City, MO will come under the Twin River Worldwide Holdings portfolio in late spring. Additionally, we recently announced the acquisition of Bally’s Atlantic City Hotel & Casino in New Jersey, conveniently located at the center of the AC boardwalk and we are expected to close on that property later this year. In addition, we have plans to acquire Eldorado Shreveport Resort and Casino in Louisiana and the Montbleu Resort Casino & Spa in Lake Tahoe, Nevada in early 2021. We look forward to providing you with even more exciting gaming experiences as we continue to grow our company and expand into some of the most exciting gaming markets in the nation.

As I am sure you already know, upon reopening our properties and our process will look a bit different from what you have become accustomed to in recent years. Please know that all new protocols in place will be for the health and safety of our staff and guests and these procedures are for your benefit and are critical to ensure we reopen safely.

As far as what you can expect from all of our locations upon reopening;
  • Screening of team members and guests upon entrance to the property
  • Potential use of thermal imaging cameras
  • Enforcement of social distancing guidelines, including spacing between slot machines
  • Limited or no table games (varies by location)
  • Frequent cleaning and sanitizing for all areas
  • Mask protecting and public awareness signage
  • Limited hours and reduced amenities I encourage you to visit the reopening pages we have set up for each property for the latest updates, which can be found by visiting your preferred TRWH property website URL and adding /reopening.

Know that the player rewards you had previously earned remain intact and we are actively coming up with ways to make it easier than ever to reach the levels that you aspire to achieve. Our value-oriented casino marketing calendar featuring gifts and more will be back in action soon.

We can’t thank you enough, our loyal guests, for your patience and support over these recent months. We love hearing from you on social media as to what you miss most from our facilities and what you are most looking forward to doing upon our reopening. Keep the words of encouragement coming! We are also very proud of our property teams for working so hard these last couple months to ensure we can reopen for you as soon, and as safely, as possible. As we are getting closer each day to that being a reality, we are proud of our TRWH communities and our team members. Lastly, we are thankful we have been able to donate food and various products to those in our community who needed support during our closure. We truly look forward to re-introducing our facilities to you very soon. Stay safe.??
