Turning Stone lounge allows alcohol

NEW YORK -- As reported by the Syracuse Post-Standard: "Just two weeks after opening with a no-alcohol policy, the Lava nightclub at Turning Stone Resort and Casino now will allow guests to bring in their own booze.

"When Lava opened Nov. 16, the minimum age was 18 and alcohol was banned. Starting Friday night, the dance club will admit only those age 21 and older. Guests won't be stopped from bringing their own alcohol.

"Sam Madonia, the resort's director of entertainment, insisted that the nation has not changed its policy on alcohol at the club.

"...Visitors are allowed to bring alcohol into the resort's restaurants and hotels. The state Liquor Authority has told the nation that's illegal, but the nation disagrees..."
