Three Card Poker 6 Card Bonus makes another millionaire at Caesars Atlantic City

26 June 2012

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Kathy Wayda admittedly didn’t sleep much Sunday night as the thought of becoming Caesars Atlantic City’s newest millionaire kept racing through her mind. Luckily, insomnia wasn’t the only thing in the cards for the Southgate, Michigan native: so was a Diamond Super Royal Flush.

Though the date said Father’s Day, Sunday June 17 was all about this mother of one. At 5:30pm, Kathy sat anxiously at the Three Card Poker 6 Card Bonus table, located directly across from the Caesars nightclub DUSK, as the dealer flipped the final card.

“There were three other people sitting down at my table and everybody wanted to see what was going on,” said Kathy. “When I saw all six cards, I thought, ‘I cannot believe this, this is impossible.’ It was just a great feeling.”

Kathy bet $5 on Pair Plus, $5 on Ante, $5 on 6 Card Bonus and $5 on play, for a total of $20, then flashed a 6-Card Super Royal all in the Diamonds suit to become Atlantic City’s fourth $1 million winner in Three Card Poker 6 Card Bonus™ Less than a week ago, on Monday June 11, another millionaire was made at Caesars Atlantic City in similar fashion.

“They had told me that after mine (million dollar jackpot) had shown-up, that someone hit a week ago, I could not believe it. I had played Three Card Poker before with the 6 Card Bonus side bet, but I didn’t even know this additional million dollar prize had been implemented until we got to Atlantic City.”

“The 6 Card Bonus side bet has created a real buzz with players because the opportunity to win $1 million is unprecedented on table games and rivals what we've long seen offered on slot machine jackpots," said John Hemberger, General Manager of Proprietary Table Games for Shuffle Master. "It's been an absolute pleasure to partner with Caesars Entertainment in delivering such an industry-changing concept to the world's most renowned brand in table games, Three Card Poker. This is an extraordinary promotion that has unquestionably changed the lives of six lucky winners and is a prime example of how Caesars goes above and beyond to create unique experiences for their guests."

When asked the obvious question of what she planned on doing with all that money, Kathy responded, “Well, I came back to work, right now I’m going to let it sink in and make some plans, so at this point it is going to my retirement and to the future.”

Before winning a million dollars the only other time Kathy could recall winning was on a slot machine for a $2,000 payout about five years prior. Kathy made it clear she is eager to return, as she quipped, “I actually love Atlantic City now, and we will be back.”

Three Card Poker 6 Card Bonus began in Atlantic City on Monday, September 26, 2011, and is only available to Caesars, Harrah’s Resort, Bally’s and Showboat customers. The first million-dollar jackpot hit at Harrah’s Resort back on October 23, 2011. Since its Atlantic City inception, four people have been awarded a million dollars, with two additional winners out in Las Vegas at Caesars Entertainment properties.

The 6 Card Bonus side bet on Three Card Poker gives players the chance to win $1 million with a total wager as small as $20 if they hit a Super Royal in Diamonds: 9, 10, J, Q, K, A. Additionally, $100,000 payouts will be available for the Super Royal in Hearts, Clubs or Spades.

Originally launched in Las Vegas, Atlantic City is now currently offering the opportunity to win this impressive jackpot. The game offers the first table-game payout of this size without an escalating progressive jackpot in a traditional brick-and-mortar casino. For years, slot players have enjoyed the opportunity to win mega-jackpots, and now Caesars Entertainment is offering this same opportunity to table-game players where any player can win, on any day, at any time, in just one hand.

To be eligible to make the 6 Card Bonus $1 million wager a player must place an ante wager and a Pair Plus wager based on the posted table minimums. The 6 Card Bonus wager is offered at $5-$100 with odds paid on all hands of 3-of-a-kind or better, except for the $100,000 and $1 million Super Royal hands, which are fixed payouts (see pay table below).

Caesars Atlantic City now has 11 tables, Harrah’s Resort 16, Bally’s 10 and Showboat 9.

Players enjoy Three Card Poker because of its simplicity, low table minimums and relatively high payouts; the 6 Card Bonus side bet gives guests the opportunity to turn a bad hand into a winning hand, or a good hand into an even better one.
