The Reel Life refrains from stalking

16 December 2010

The Reel Life has gone through some messy breakups, mostly because of our online slots habit. But never has a breakup led to a stalking charge.

According to, a California man has been arrested on stalking charges after he was found in his ex-girlfriend's attic. Miguel Lua, 27, was apprehended after the ex-girlfriend realized her cell phone was missing from her charger. Her digital camera was missing as well.

The victim then found her camera in her car seat, which wasn't where she left it. She also noticed brown debris on the carpet underneath her attic. When she heard a noise from the attic, she called police.

When police arrived, they began calling for Lua to come out. When that failed, they began searching for him. They found him under some insulation in the attic. A deputy "also found several burned candles, a coat and some shoes. It appeared as if Lua had been up there for some time," authorities said.

Lua admitted to taking the victim's phone and camera to see if she was seeing any other men.

The Reel Life feels no sympathy for Lua because he truly is an amateur. Isn't stalking precisely the reason Facebook exists?

Santa Claus is coming to town

Casino La Vida has recently released two new slots, and one of the games is perfect for this time of the year.

Santa's Wild Ride is a video slot that has no fixed number of pay-lines, but 243 ways to win. The game portrays Santa on the back of a motorcycle, in place of his typical sleigh, which makes for a rather jovial spectacle. Among the usual attributes are scatters, wilds, free spins and bonus features.

Another new video slot at Casino La Vida is Royal Feast. Players are invited to dine with the king and his loyal subjects while trying to complete winning combinations with the help of wilds, scatters, multipliers and free spins. A five-reel, 15-payline video slot, Royal Feast offers crisp graphics and a gamble feature where players can double or quadruple their winnings by successfully predicting the correct color and suit of the on-screen card.
