The New Seabrook Park opens Greyhound Casino & Tavern

24 April 2019

(PRESS RELEASE) -- The employee-owners of The New Seabrook Park are excited to announce the opening of the Greyhound Casino & Tavern, a newly renovated charity casino and restaurant located in Seabrook, New Hampshire.

The totally remodeled charity casino offers table games such as Blackjack, Roulette, Mississippi Stud and Poker in a dynamic, yet warm, atmosphere. The casino also boasts a state-of-the-art audio-visual system and luxury gaming tables and chairs.

The tavern launched an all-new menu, the development of which was overseen by renowned restaurateurs Joe and Angie Sorge from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The Sorges are widely known for conceiving highly successful concepts for restaurants such as AJ Bombers and Smoke Shack and their nationally recognized, award-winning burger that is now featured at the Greyhound Casino & Tavern.

The Greyhound recently welcomed Executive Chef Jon Moore and Sous Chef Nick LaBroad to lead its culinary team. Both chefs bring extensive industry experience to the establishment. Moore joins the Seabrook team from local New England restaurants The Friendly Toast and Sea Level Oyster Bar. LaBroad was the Head Chef at both Native Coffee + Kitchen and BRGR Bar, two innovative Seacoast dining establishments. Moore and LaBroad collaborated on the tavern's new menu to create delicious, modern, as well as regional favorites, including a beer and bacon flight, locally-sourced seafood, and signature loaded mac and cheese.

“The Greyhound Casino & Tavern was named as an homage to the wonderful dogs that once graced the Park,” said Andre Carrier, Seabrook’s chief operating officer. “Thought to be the oldest purebred dog in the world, the greyhound was considered royalty and treated as one of the family.” Carrier went on to say, “Whether you play roulette or poker, or don't play at all, we believe the new Greyhound has something for everyone: a great meal, the perfectly poured microbrew, and your favorite teams on the big screens.”

The Park’s employee-owners plan to transform the entire facility into the region’s premier gaming, entertainment, and foodie destination, with development to be completed by fall of 2019.
