Texas legislation filed could allow slot vote

TEXAS -- Texas voters may soon have the opportunity decide if slots should be available at state racetracks, The Thoroughbred Times reported.

Legislation filed by two representatives Thursday could allow for change to the current constitution, the report explained.

The rationale for the legislation is that Texas is economically disadvantaged by neighbouring states who allow slots at ractracks, The Thoroughbred Times reported.
