SugarHouse welcomes 'Whose Line Is It Anyway?' stars

14 February 2017

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Stars of the Emmy-nominated comedy series "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood bring their improvisational comedy to the SugarHouse Casino Event Center on Saturday, 13 May at 9 p.m. The Scared Scriptless Tour features the same spontaneous, off-the-cuff humor straight from the "Whose Line" stage, where Mochrie and Sherwood made their names. Tickets for the performance go on sale 17 February and cost $59.

Driven by audience participation, the two-man show presents a performance tailor-made for its Philadelphia audience. Like on "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" audience interaction drives the show, including on-stage, and fuels Mochrie and Sherwood's material, adding extra elements of unexpected fun.

"Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood deliver a performance like no other — because it's completely unrehearsed!" said Wendy Hamilton, general manager of SugarHouse Casino. "With audience interaction and unpredictable humor, you're in for a great night."

Mochrie and Sherwood took to the road in 2003, when they formed their duo act and began performing in the U.S. and internationally. This came after the two had logged more than 10 seasons each, on both the English and American versions of "Whose Line Is It Anyway?"

Veterans of the improvisational comedy field, Mochrie and Sherwood hold careers marked with comedic milestones. From his beginnings at the world's premier comedy club, Second City Toronto, Mochrie has been nominated for several comedy awards and was named the 2013 Canadian Comedy Person of the Year. In addition to being a "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" cast member, Sherwood has made numerous television appearances, including "The Drew Carey Show" and "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno."

Tickets for Mochrie and Sherwood's show, and for all SugarHouse performances, including music phenomenon Walk Off The Earth's concert on 24 March, and "America's Got Talent" Season 10 winner/ventriloquist Paul Zerdin's show on 29 April, can be purchased online at the SugarHouse Casino Event Center page.

In addition to live performances and concerts, the SugarHouse Casino Event Center can be reserved for a variety of other occasions, including weddings, corporate receptions, seminars, trade shows and more. The space features floor-to-ceiling windows and panoramic views of the Delaware River waterfront and the Ben Franklin Bridge. Parking is always free.
