(PRESS RELEASE) -- Santa Barbara County’s Storm Wines will host a dinner and wine tasting event at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, 28 June in the underground wine cave at Pala Casino Spa and Resort. Doors will open at 7 p.m.

Tickets, $85 per person, plus an 18% gratuity, are available by calling 1-877-946-7252 and ask to book the Storm wine dinner.

Guests will enjoy a five-course dinner with wine pairings from Storm’s portfolio of fine wines.

Dining and tasting will start with Bacon Wrapped Shrimp with Passion Fruit Chutney and Fried Avocado and a Sauvignon Blanc Storm Santa Ynez Valley Wine. The second course will feature Steak Tartare & Carpaccio with Tarragon Aioli and Grilled Crostini and a Pinot Noir Storm John Sebastiano Vineyard, Santa Rita Hills. The third course will offer Filo Crusted Dover Sole with Crab Brandade, Pea Shoots and Sauce Dijon, with a Chardonnay Notary Public by Ernst Storm, Whitehill Vineyard, Santa Barbara County. The fourth course will be a Cast Iron Mixed Grill featuring Filet Mignon, Colorado Lamb, Pork Tenderloin, Crisp Potato Rosti and Haricot Verts with a Syrah Storm Slide Hill Vineyard, Edna Valley. Dessert will be Chef Albert’s Chocolate Trio with a Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve Notary Public by Ernst Storm, Happy Canyon, Santa Barbara County.

Rooted in the hills of Santa Barbara County, Storm Wines encompasses old world influences and new world techniques. The Mediterranean climate, diverse soil and exciting new opportunities in the budding Central Coast wine region have combined to drive Ernst Storm’s passion for producing his wine.

Storm was started in 2006 with six barrels. In 2008, Ernst became involved in the wine-making at Curtis Winery. At the end of 2013, he left Curtis to focus on Storm so he could make classically-styled wines from proven sites with personality of vintage and site where elegance is favored.
