Sportingbet considering Unibet merger

LONDON, England and SWEDEN -- A British Sunday newspaper said Sporting Bet has had talks with Unibet about a possible merger, according to a Reuters report.

The paper did not name sources, but said nothing would be announced until next year, the report said.

Speculation has been ongoing that Sportingbet would merge after its settlement with the US government earlier this year.
