Southwest Indiana Riverboat Casino Revenue Flat

INDIANA – As reported by the Cincinnati Post: "Southwest Indiana's three riverboat casinos got off to flat start in 2005, as January revenue edged up only one percent overall.

"The three took in $770 million during the month, while gross profits from gambling increased 2 percent from January 2004 to $59 million.

"Only Belterra Casino near Vevay posted both higher revenue and higher gross gambling profits.

"…At Argosy Casino in Lawrenceburg, revenue was down one percent and gambling profits declined 2 percent in January.

"…Gambling revenue at Grand Victoria Casino in Rising Sun dropped 8 percent in January. It continued to lose local market share to Belterra…"
