South Africa: Gambling revenue up slightly

SOUTH AFRICA -- Figures released this week show that recession and job loss have not affected gambling revenue in South Africa, The Weekend Post reported.

Revenue rose 2.17% though revenue has "grown more slowly" than previous years, the report said.

Calls to the national responsible gambling helpline did not show any significant increase, the Weekend Post report noted.
