Snooker player Stephen Lee arrested over match-fixing allegations

WILTSHIRE, England -- A British snooker player was arrested last week on "suspicion of cheating." according to a report in The Guardian.

The arrest follows a recent investigation into betting patterns, the report said.

The player, Stephen Lee, 35, whose rank fell from 5 to world 25, arrest followed a joint operation by West Midlands Police and the Gambling Commission, The Guardian reported.
