SkyCity sale could be delayed

AUSTRALIA -- As reported by the Adelaide Advertiser: "Potential buyers for Adelaide's SkyCity Casino have been warned that official probity checks could take six to nine months.

"The Independent Gambling Authority says new owners face exhaustive checks of their 'reputation, integrity and financial suitability'.

"...New Zealand-based SkyCity Entertainment has announced the casino will be sold unless it boosts profits. Despite lifting its earnings to $10 million in the six months to the end of last December, the parent company claims the casino is 'not performing to expectations'..."
