Singapore: Target high rollers conference told

SINGAPORE -- At the annual Asian Casino & Gambling Congress yesterday, an industry observer recommended Singapore casinos target more high rollers, according to an Asia One Business report.

The suggestion came from Dr Derek da Cunha, author of Singapore Places Its Bets, as a cushion against economic growth slowing down, the report explained.

Da Cunha pointed out that economic growth is unlikely to be as high next year and that the resorts may need to target VIPs and high rollers to boost revenue, Asia One Business said.
