Gaming NewsSeneca Gaming releases summer line-up11 June 2008NIAGARA FALLS, New York –- (PRESS RELEASE) -- The temperature is heating up outside, and Seneca Gaming Corporation (SGC) is proud to bring some of the hottest acts to Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel (SNC) and Seneca Allegany Casino & Hotel (SAC) this summer. Billed as The Seneca Experience, both resort properties boast virtually non-stop entertainment as the stages sizzle with today's up and coming performers and classic favorites who have made their mark in the music industry for years. Robert E. Victoria, Senior Vice President of Marketing, Seneca Gaming Corporation (SGC), managing entity for the Seneca Nation's Class III gaming facilities and resort properties, announced The Seneca Experience entertainment lineup today. "The series of special events and engagements here at SNC & SAC boast something for everyone, from classic rock connoisseurs to comedy lovers," he said. The summer's Seneca Experience will kick-off this Saturday as legendary band Blondie takes the stage for the first time at SNC to avid fans and rave reviews. According to Victoria, Saturday's concert is just the beginning of a diverse entertainment lineup performed by top-notch artists. "We've continued the theme of variety from our past lineups to bring you a wide array of shows sure to appeal to a broad range of tastes and interests," he said. Victoria also noted that quantity as well as quality reign supreme, with events going on virtually every weekend. Variety of Musical Acts Light Up the Stage The band that pioneered the early American punk rock and New Waves scenes, Blondie, with front woman Deborah Harry, brings their "Parallel Lines -- 30th Anniversary Tour" to Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel (SNC), Seneca Niagara Events Center on Saturday June 14th at 8 p.m. Next, legendary group The Neville Brothers takes the stage on Friday June 27th at 7 p.m. in the Seneca Niagara Events Center (SNC). These four brothers blend passionate funk with a blues-soaked groove that is sure to provoke and entertain. 80's sensation, Huey Lewis and the News bring their combination of rock, backed with soul and doo-wop style harmonies to the Seneca Allegany Events Center (SAC) on Saturday June 28th at 8 p.m. Bring family and friends to our annual fireworks display! Join us for these free events on Thursday July 3rd at 9:45 p.m. at Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel (SNC rain date 7/4) and Friday July 4th at 9:30 p.m. at Seneca Allegany Casino & Hotel, East Parking Lot (SAC rain date 7/5). Former member of The Doobie Brothers and Steely Dan, Michael Macdonald makes a stop at Seneca Allegany Casino & Hotel (SAC), Seneca Allegany Events Center on Saturday July 26th at 8 p.m. You've seen him on his hit TBS show "Frank TV" and as the ever-changing face of the Direct TV commercials -- now experience the laughter live as comedian Frank Caliendo heats up the stage in the Seneca Niagara Events Center (SNC) on Friday August 1st at 8 p.m. For the second free outdoor show at Seneca Allegany Casino & Hotel (SAC), legendary guitarist, Peter Frampton will light up the Allegany Mountains on Friday August 1st at 8 p.m. Frampton is best known for his solo work in the mid 1970's and as one of the original members of the band, Humble Pie. Emmy award winning comedienne and host of Bravo's hit show, "Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List," funny-woman, Kathy Griffin will have you laughing until it hurts on Saturday August 9th at 8 p.m. in the Seneca Niagara Events Center (SNC). Join Puddle of Mudd as they rock out in Seneca Square for a free outdoor concert on Friday August 15th at 7 p.m. at Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel (SNC). Multi-Grammy award winning artist, Chaka Khan with special guest Musiq Soulchild brings her legendary voice to the Seneca Niagara Events Center (SNC) on Saturday August 16th at 8 p.m. Hear your favorites such as "I Feel For You" and "I'm Every Woman" with this legendary R&B diva. Tops in Blue comes to Seneca Square for a free outdoor show at Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel (SNC). Celebrate American pride and honor with a concert presented by the US Air Force on Thursday August 21st at 8 p.m. Joan Jett and the Blackhearts with special guests The Derek Miller Band wrap the free outdoor concert series in Seneca Square (SNC) on Friday August 22nd at 7 p.m. Rock out to your favorite hits such as, "I Love Rock 'n Roll" and "I Hate Myself for Loving You." Former member of The Steve Miller Band, Boz Scaggs, brings his chart topping hits, such as, "Lido Shuffle" and "What Can I Say" to the Seneca Allegany Events Center (SAC) on Friday September 5th at 8 p.m. Chicago, one of the longest running and most successful pop/rock groups in American history, will take the stage on Saturday September 6th at 8 p.m. in the Seneca Allegany Events Center (SAC). Wrapping up the summer line-up, Barenaked Ladies perform two shows in the Seneca Niagara Events Center (SNC) on Friday September 26th and Saturday September 27th both at 8 p.m. Aside from the five free outdoor concerts, all shows will be performed at the Seneca Niagara Events Center and the Seneca Allegany Events Center, SGC's state-of-the-art entertainment facilities that boast the latest in lighting and sound technology (most often found in large, arena style venues) but maintain the intimacy and feel of a smaller concert experience.
