Both Senator Juan Hinojosa and Senator Jeff Wentworth drew attention to the amount of money -- $2.4 billion a year -- Texans gamble outside Texas, the report explained. Texas is facing a huge budget deficit and several gambling expansion bills have been filed but face stiff opposition from the Senate State Affairs Committee, the Amarillo Globe News explained. |
