Rock Yard brings iconic sounds

INDIO, California -- (PRESS RELEASE) -– The Rock Yard, the desert's premier, no-cover, outdoor concert venue presents a weekend of classic rock tributes featuring the music of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers as the band, Room at the Top performs, Friday, August 8th and Turn the Page's tribute to Detroit music icon, Bob Seger, takes the stage on Saturday, August 9th.

The members of Room at the Top have entertained hundreds of Tom Petty and the Heartbreaker fans from all around the country and they are making their very first appearance at the Rock Yard. Their high energy performance and dynamic set list includes the classic Petty hits, "Breakdown", "An American Girl", "Refugee" and "Free Fallin'". Celebrate 8/8/08 in style…Come over to the Rock Yard and party the night away with Room at the Top and a special guest band. The music kicks off at 9pm.

For the members of the Bob Seger tribute band Turn the Page, their shows aren't just a recreation, they are a celebration. Fronted by lead vocalist and guitarist Sam Morrison, Turn the Page has gathered a stellar list of musicians and singers including guitarist Steve Cenker, keyboardist Chris Daniels, bassist Greg Kasparian, drummer Bart Robley and singers Doreen Styles and Mandy Burke. Take in the excitement as Turn the Page performs Seger's best known hits "Old Time Rock n' Roll", "Still the Same", "Hollywood Nights" and their signature tune, "Turn the Page." Opening the show on Saturday, August 9th will be Rock Yard standouts, Barboys. Showtime is 9pm.
