Riverwalk names new marketing manager

VICKSBURG, Mississippi -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Rob Long, President and General Manager of Riverwalk Casino and Hotel, today announces the appointment of Laura Shelby as Marketing Manager.

Shelby has fifteen years of management experience in the gaming industry. She has worked with Special Events, Promotions, Tournaments, VIP Services and Player Development. She comes to Riverwalk from the Island View Casino in Gulfport, and has experience in a variety of other markets including California, Iowa, and Tunica, Mississippi.

"We are delighted to have Laura join our Marketing team," Long said. "Her broad experience in a variety of markets further strengthens our superb marketing team at Riverwalk."

"Laura's experience brings a fresh perspective to the local market", said Ginny Tzotzolas, Director of Marketing. "Riverwalk patrons will enjoy the creative and exciting promotions Laura is planning to launch in our new facility."

Riverwalk Casino is a multi-use development and estimates the creation of more than 400 new jobs for the local market. A "riverside park" experience unique to Vicksburg's surrounding area is a premier design element of the development. The riverbank site is south of the Mississippi River bridges, just off Warrenton Road.

Design of the project is executed by Foil Wyatt Architects & Planners, P.A., of Jackson, Mississippi. Benchmark Construction of Jackson, Mississippi is the construction contractor.

Grand Opening for Riverwalk Casino is scheduled for Fall, 2008.
