Riverwalk Casino names housekeeping/EVS manager

MISSISSIPPI -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Rob Long, President and General Manager of Riverwalk Casino and Hotel, today announces the appointment of Odell Garland as Housekeeping/EVS Manager.

Garland served in the United States Air Force for over twenty years and received an Honorable Discharge. His experience includes working as Front Desk Supervisor and Guest Services Manager for Harrah's in Vicksburg. He received Supervisor of the Month four times during his employment.

Garland has also worked as Hotel Manager for Harrah's and most recently was Night Manager/Auditor for the Clarion Hotel in Jackson.

"Odell has a long history of providing excellent guest service in the Vicksburg market. We are extremely pleased to have him leading our team in these critical areas," Long said.

Riverwalk Casino is a multi-use development and estimates the creation of more than 400 new jobs for the local market. A "riverside park" experience unique to Vicksburg's surrounding area is a premier design element of the development. The riverbank site is south of the Mississippi River bridges, just off Warrenton Road.

Design of the project is executed by Foil Wyatt Architects & Planners, P.A., of Jackson, Mississippi. Benchmark Construction of Jackson, Mississippi is the construction contractor.

Grand Opening for Riverwalk Casino is scheduled for Fall, 2008.
