Rivers Casino makes $4.4 million payment to Sports & Exhibition Authority31 March 2017
(PRESS RELEASE) -- Rivers Casino and the Sports & Exhibition Authority of Pittsburgh and Allegheny County (SEA) announced that $4.4 million has been received by Rivers Casino and put toward the construction expenses for the PPG Paints Arena.
Rivers Casino contributes $7.5 million annually to the SEA through two installments, occurring in April and October of each year. To date, Rivers Casino has generated $60 million to help fund construction expenses for PPG Paints Arena, home of the Pittsburgh Penguins and one of the city's premiere entertainment venues.
By the time the agreement concludes in 2038, Rivers Casino will have contributed a total of $225 million to the SEA for PPG Paints Arena's construction.

"We are proud to have our contributions continue to make the PPG Paints Arena a great place to watch and celebrate the Pittsburgh Pens."
Rivers Casino generates approximately $161 million in tax revenue annually for the Commonwealth, Allegheny County and Pittsburgh, including the city's economic development and tourism fund.
