Rivers Casino brings back comedy series

31 January 2018

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Rivers Casino brings back its popular stand-up comedy series, “A Funny Thing Happened at Rivers Casino,” on Thursdays this winter from 1 February to 8 March.

The new lineup of comedy acts will be performed in the back of Wheelhouse Bar & Grill and hosted by Pittsburgh comedian, Tony "T-Robe" Roberson. T-Robe got his break in entertainment by making crowds roar at open mic nights in local bars. Since then, T-Robe's career has taken off, and he has shared the stage with numerous film and television stars.

This season's comedy lineup features Western Pennsylvania talent, as well as comics who perform all across the country, including:
  • 1 February: John Bruton and Chuck Kreiger
  • 8 February: Brian Tidwell and Shaun Blackham
  • 15 February: Ray Zawodni and Derrick Knopsnyder
  • 22 February: Jeff Konkle and TuRae
  • 1 March: Shannon Norman and Mike Wysocki
  • 8 March: Ramsey Daniels and Gene Collier
Each night's comedy act begins at 7:30 p.m. and tickets cost $20, which includes $10 Free Slot Play or Match Play. Visit the casino's website or Rivers' gift shop to purchase tickets.

"This hilarious winter comedy series is sure to get our guests out and laughing," said Bill Keena, general manager of Rivers Casino. "And everyone knows, laughter is good for the soul."
