Revenue down for Detroit casinos

DETROIT, Michigan -- As reported by the Detroit Free-Press: "Revenue for Detroit's three casinos fell by less than 0.5% in June compared to a year ago, but were off by 7.1% compared to May, according to figures released by the Michigan Gaming Control Board.

"Revenue for MGM Grand Detroit fell 10% to $43.7 million, MotorCity Casino saw a 3% decline to $36.8 million and Greektown Casino revenue rose 24.2% to $28.8 million in June.

"The three casinos paid $10.02 million in gaming taxes in June..."
