Responsible gaming: A year-round commitment4 August 2015
LAS VEGAS, Nevada -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Caesars Entertainment Corporation (NASDAQ:CZR) is proud to partner with the American Gaming Association and other AGA member companies to celebrate the 18th annual Responsible Gaming Education Week (RGEW) taking place Aug. 3 - 7.
While the company is proud to highlight its efforts during RGEW, Caesars Entertainment and its affiliated casino resorts (“Caesars”) know that responsible gaming is more than a week-long event – it’s a year-round commitment.
Promotion of responsible gaming is part of the heritage and culture of Caesars. The responsible gaming program is the foundation of our Code of Commitment, which dictates the manner in which our companies treat their customers, employees, communities and the environment. While proud of its industry-leading history in this area, Caesars continues to focus its daily efforts to promote additional advances in responsible gaming programs and practices.
Caesars promotes responsible gaming every day by providing educational materials that encourage guests to treat gambling the same way they treat other forms of recreation. The promotional efforts encourage customers to budget the time and amount of money they want to spend and to consider their chosen recreation as a pleasant pastime.
Caesars affiliated casino resorts train employees to report customer comments that cause concern and provides Responsible Gaming Ambassadors to speak to customers about these concerns. We display toll-free helpline numbers for problem gambling in advertising, brochures and signs. We offer information about the importance of gambling responsibly and how to recognize potential signs of a problem. And we have procedures in place to combat underage gambling or children being left unattended at properties.
During RGEW, Caesars Entertainment’s family of casino resorts will deliver additional responsible gaming training to employees to reinforce their knowledge of the company’s responsible gaming policies and resources. Employees also will be asked to consider how they can share their knowledge to help guests, employees and the public understand the importance of gambling responsibly.
This week, and every week, Caesars encourages customers to play responsibly and to remember that responsible gaming is a year-round commitment.
