Rescue at Showboat Casino

ATLANTIC CITY, New Jersey – As reported by the WPVA News: "At around 8:00 Thursday morning, an elderly couple from New York was leaving the Showboat Casino in Atlantic City when the 87 year-old husband collapsed from a heart attack.

"Luckily, at the same time, a group of 14 officers from around New Jersey were nearby on the grounds of the Showboat participating in New Jersey's Detect and Render Safe Task Force training, which in basically bomb dog training for the State Police's homeland security branch.

"The man dropped to ground and four officers immediately sprung into action, two of them trained EMT's, while the rest of the group worked on crowd control…"
