Quad City casino revenues mixed for May

13 June 2007

ILLINOIS -- As reported by the Quad-City Times: "The Casino Rock Island's adjusted gross revenue for May -- $2.96 million -- was the lowest for any May since 2000, according to reports on file with the Illinois Gaming Board.

"The May revenues were down from April by $197,000, and down from May 2006 by $453,000, the reports show.

"The picture was similarly bleak for the Rhythm City Casino, the Isle of Capri-owned boat in Davenport, which reported its lowest May revenues since 2001, its first year of operation. Rhythm City's adjusted gross revenue for May this year was $5.24 million, according to the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission.

"Rhythm City's May revenues were up slightly from April 2007, but down sharply from May 2006, when the boat took in $6.71 million.

"...Isle of Capri-Bettendorf did somewhat better. Revenues in May were $8.14 million, up from $7.57 million in April and from $7.42 million in May 2006. The May 2006 figure, however, was the lowest the Bettendorf casino reported for any May since 2000. Otherwise, the May 2007 figure would be the lowest revenue reported by Isle of Capri-Bettendorf since 2000..."
