Presque Isle Downs holds job fair

PENNSYLVANIA – As reported by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette: "Two months before it opens as Western Pennsylvania's first slots parlor, Presque Isle Downs will hold a job fair in Erie Saturday to help fill the 400 or more positions on its immediate payroll.

"MTR Gaming is investing $200 million to create its racino in Summit, just outside Erie, where a 2,000-machine casino is to open Feb. 15 and a thoroughbred racetrack is to begin operating around Sept. 1.

"…Presque Isle Downs spokesman John Brabender said job applications and resumes will be accepted from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday at The Ambassador Conference Center at the Marriott, 7794 Peach St., Erie. The positions to be filled over the next two months include people already skilled or available for training in restaurant services, slots operations, accounting, security, information technology, marketing and more…"
