Potawatomi Bingo Casino opens with celebrities

MILWAUKEE -- As reported by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel:" On Wednesday, Potawatomi Bingo Casino invited a few hundred friends for a sneak preview of its glitzy new $240 million expansion and the chance to rub elbows with celebrities such as Henry Winkler, the soon-to-be-bronzed Fonz; Cindy Williams of "Laverne & Shirley"; Leslie Nielsen; Michael Winslow, the sound-effects guy; Vince Van Patten from the Potawatomi commercials; and Mark Metcalf, an actor who makes his home here.

"...A line stretched beyond the slot machines and past the gaming tables, with fans hoping to meet Williams, who politely signed and wished everyone luck. One woman welcomed her to town, and Williams gleefully noted, 'I love Milwaukee.'..."
