Post fire Empress to hire 100

JOLIET, Illinois -- A number of job fairs this month will see The Empress Casino recruiting 100 new staff, The Sun-Times reported.

Most of the jobs are in the areas of food, beverage and retail, according to the report.

The Empress will also change over to the Hollywood Casino under a re-branding move, The Sun-Times said.

The Empress suffered a serious fire which burned for 7 hours in March of 2009.
