Poll: Slight Majority Oppose Gambling in Bermuda

BERMUDA – As reported by the Royal Gazette: "A slight majority of respondents to a Royal Gazette online poll oppose legalising gambling in Bermuda.

"Of the 1,468 people who took part in the unscientific poll on www.theroyalgazette.com, 52.5 percent said `no' in answer to the question `Should Bermuda legalise gambling'.

"…Gambling has been a controversial topic on the Island as the 2004 deadline looms for removing video gambling machines…"
