Poarch Band of Creek Indians Goes Live With Bally One System

5 April 2005

LAS VEGAS – (PRESS RELEASE) -- Bally Gaming and Systems, a business unit of Alliance Gaming Corp. (NYSE: AGI), announced today that the Poarch Band of Creek Indians in Alabama has gone live with the backend Bally One System and more than 200 Bally Gaming machines at the new Riverside Entertainment Center near Montgomery, Ala.

The Bally One System technology combines multiple and disparate game systems commonly found in Class II markets and creates a single traditional environment for accounting, ticketing, cashiering and currency functions across the entire casino floor.

Bally Gaming secured nearly 40 percent of the 538 machines on the floor and placed its first Class II reel-spinning machines into Alabama. Along with Bally machines, the One System platform links Class II machines from IGT, Rocket Gaming Systems, Diamond Games, Nova Gaming and Technology Exclusive (Cyberdyne).

While the Bally One System is operational at two other Poarch Creek locations in Alabama and is being implemented at the new Cherokee Casino in Catoosa, Okla., this marks the first time a Class II facility has gone live with full accounting and a single, common ticketing system across all Class II machines from multiple vendors on the same casino floor.

"This is truly a landmark technology event for Class II gaming and we're proud to be working with Bally and taking a leading role with the One System," said Arthur Mothershed, Chief Financial Officer of Poarch Band of Creek Indians. "Within days, it became apparent that we are running a more efficient operation and providing a new level of service to our customers at the same time. This is the future and we have it today."

Mothershed said Harrah's Entertainment Inc. provided consulting services for the Riverside Entertainment Center and will have an expanded role as the property evolves into a true resort facility in the future.

The One System was introduced to fulfill the need for a standards-based accounting/ticketing system in the Class II and central-determination markets. The One System open platform is based on the Gaming Standards Association (GSA) System-to-System (S2S) integration standard. It is a derivative of the Bally backend system that has operated successfully in the Washington central-determination market since 1998 and was selected to monitor and control the national VLT system for the Austrian Lottery, which began operations earlier this year.

The One System provides Class II casinos with unprecedented operational flexibility in choosing games from any Class II manufacturer, as well as compatibility with advanced player tracking and other casino-related systems. The benefit to casinos is a unified operation for ease of management and oversight, reduced system administration costs, a single set of accounting reports and a dramatically improved player experience.

One ticket-in, ticket-out system across the gaming floor means that players will be able to remove a ticket from any game on the floor and input it into any game on the floor, regardless of the game's manufacturer. The One System also allows for a single point-of-sale credit or ticket machine within an operation instead of the previous environment, where operators had to have a point-of-sale unit for every game vendor. These features not only improve the player's experience, but also reduce costs for the operator.

Recognized as the industry leader with more than 300,000 game monitoring units and more than 225 casino customers worldwide -- including more than 100 locations running Bally eTICKET(TM) on more than 100,000 slot machines -- the Bally Systems product line offers slot machine cash monitoring, cashless, accounting, security, maintenance, marketing, promotional and bonusing capabilities, enabling operators to accurately analyze performance and accountability while providing an enhanced level of customer service.
