22 February 2008

RENO, Nevada -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- "Nat King Cole: His Life, His Songs," will be showing at the Peppermill on Saturday, April 19 at 8 p.m. in the Grand Tahoe Ballroom. Tickets are $35 and can be purchased by calling 851-1638 or online at www.PeppermillReno.com.

The show features jazz singer Philip Manuel performing some of Nat King Cole's biggest hits as well as seldom heard jewels, interspersed with stories of Cole's life.

Manuel says he started singing when he first learned to talk. His soulful jazz baritone is influenced by Andy Williams, Donny Hathaway, and Judy Garland. He first performed his tribute to Nat King Cole in New Orleans to a sold out crowd and rave reviews. Manuel also performs regularly with the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra and Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra.
