Gaming NewsPennsylvania casino announces results of charity event23 December 2011WASHINGTON, Pennsylvania -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- The Meadows Racetrack and Casino and its generous customers continued its tradition of giving to make this a meaningful holiday season and announced the results of its Gifts for G.I.’s and Toys for Tots programs. Pennsylvania Senator Tim Solobay hosted a Gifts for G.I.’s campaign November 1—30 at The Meadows. To date, over 750 pounds of gifts have been collected and shipped to U.S. troops overseas, including 5th Calvary stationed in Afghanistan (pictures attached). The Meadows, along with The Marine Corps Reserve of Washington County also collected for its annual Toys for Tots campaign. Twelve oversized bins were filled with toys during the course of the campaign and distributed as Christmas gifts to needy children in the local community. |
