Packer, Ho consider Manila casino investment

The Philippines -- A gambling regulator has suggested that James Packer and Lawrence Ho could invest $1 billion in a Manila casino venture, Bloomberg reported.

Discussions with Melco Crown were described as "ongoing" in the report.

The Philippine government awarded 4 casino licenses in 2008 and 2009 intended for casinos that will operate inside a government built gambling complex, Bloomberg reported.
