Gaming NewsOntario casino workers on strike2 June 2008ONTARIO, Canada – As reported by the Toronto Star: "Casino Brantford and Slots at Sudbury Downs were expected to be closed today after about 800 unionized slot attendants, dealers, servers, bar tenders and maintenance staff were poised to walk off the job at midnight last night. "About 110 unionized security staff at the Slots at Woodbine Racetrack, also members of the Canadian Auto Workers' gaming section, are also expected to strike. "But since slot machine attendants at that location are not unionized, Woodbine will likely remain open with management replacement workers, said a spokesperson for the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp.
